Church Covenant

We believe that God’s grace has brought us to repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and to give up ourselves to Him. Having been baptized upon our profession of faith, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, we do now, relying on His gracious aid, solemnly and joyfully renew our covenant with each other.
我們相信，神的恩典已使我們悔改與相信主基督，並把自己交託給祂。
既已宣告了我們的認信，並奉父、子、聖靈的名受了洗，現在我們靠着祂的恩典，
莊嚴且滿懷喜樂地堅定我們彼此之間所立的約。

1.

We will strive to display the glory of God through our lives and doctrine, forever delighting in Him.
我們會竭力藉着我們的生活和教義，彰顯神的榮耀，永遠以祂為樂

2.

We will work and pray for the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace, being slow to anger, and always willing to strive for reconciliation.
我們會竭力為聖靈所賜的合一而努力並禱告，用和平彼此聯絡，不輕易生氣惱恨對方，隨時願意盡一切努力達成和好。

3.

We will walk together in brotherly love; exercise an affectionate care and watchfulness over each other and faithfully admonish and entreat one another as occasion may require.
我們會以肢體之愛攜手並進，彼此關懷、彼此看顧、彼此守望、彼此擔當、彼此體恤，也在有需要時彼此勸誡和勉勵。

4.

We will not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, nor neglect to pray for ourselves, our families and others.
我們不會停止或放棄聚會，也不會忽略為自己、家人和別人代禱。

5.

We will seek, through our words and our lives, to be a faithful gospel witness to our family and friends, that their souls might be saved.
我們將努力以言語與生活為我們的家人和朋友做忠實的福音見證，以期使他們的靈魂得着拯救。

 

6.

We will rejoice at each other’s happiness and endeavor with tenderness and sympathy to bear each other’s burdens and sorrows.
我們承諾會為肢體的快樂而歡欣，也會竭力帶着溫柔與同情承擔彼此的重擔與哀傷。

7.

We will seek to live carefully in the world, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, and remembering that, as we have been voluntarily buried by baptism and raised again from the symbolic grave, so there is on us a special obligation now to lead a new and holy life.
我們會竭力謹慎在世上的日子，拒絕和抵擋不敬虔和屬世的各種私慾，並牢記，
正如我們自願通過洗禮被埋葬並從象徵性的墳墓中復活一樣，我們現在也有特殊的義務過一種全新的聖潔生活

8.

We will work together for the continuance of a faithful evangelical ministry in this church, as we sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline, and doctrines.  We will contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the Gospel through all nations.
我們會竭力把本教會合乎聖經的事奉忠心進行到底。為此，我們要堅持進行與保守教會的崇拜、命禮、懲戒、教義、福音和教導等事宜，建造主的教會。我們會甘心樂意地定期捐獻金錢，用以支持教會事工的開支，周濟窮人，以及向萬國萬民廣傳福音。

9.

We will, when we move from this place, as soon as possible unite with some other church where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s Word.
當我們遷居往外地時，我們將儘快加入另一個合乎聖經的地方教會，
在那裡繼續實踐這約的精神以及從神話語而來的原則。

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all. Amen. 願主耶穌的恩惠、神的慈愛和聖靈的交通常與我們眾人同在。阿門！
